CutTime Simfonica mixes classical and symphonic, often with a beat to cross over into rock, jazz and bassist Rick Robinson’s spicy Pork ‘n Beans! Join the band on toy percussion, or bring your own to this safe, family event stretching 3.5 miles from Detroit’s Corktown to Mexicantown. People walk, rollerblade or bike this worldwide, annual happening.

The mixed octet CutTime Players features hit symphonic repertoire performed with the intimacy of chamber music to both turn on new audiences and take veteran audiences deep into the performers’ perspective. This program will scan the development of the symphonic form, apply clever analogies to instrumental music, swing into jazz hybrids by Duke Ellington and Claude Bolling as well as Director Rick Robinson’s spicy compositions.
Tickets are $28 for general admissions ($10 group rate for students).

Mr. CutTime returns with the rich string sounds of CutTime Simfonica® with light drums to help an audience keep the beat through another variety program from Bach and Mozart to Ellington and Joplin. We will feature CIM grads, a unique perspective on the utility of classical and symphonic music, as well as some of Director Rick Robinson’s most romantic and funky compositions.
Tickets are $20 general admission; $10 for students with ID.
