2023-2024 Season of Public Performances

CutTime Simfonica plays Sidewalk Festival

2023 UPDATE: Following the collapse of in-person concerts during the pandemic, the clock has run out for artistic director Rick Robinson’s bass-playing career. Major changes are announced in his July 2022 Newsletter, such as the big move to Pittsburgh, PA, and his transition from symphony double bassist to composer-arranger focused on orchestrating his best works, and new, experimental artistic projects.

Leave a testimonial or message us how you truly feel about Rick’s music, controversial career, and the expressed goals and methods of CutTime®. Discover all our many live recordings on SoundCloud, and the 2021 ProMusica Detroit videos and Music For Interesting Times premiered on YouTube. Learn reasons and methods for meaningful cross-cultural music-making at this website. Public events are returning as we regroup in Pennsylvania.

CutTime Simfonica® – Vanka Block Party
@ St. Nicholas Catholic Church

24 Maryland Ave. Millvale, PA 15209
Retired Detroit Symphony Orchestra bassist-turned-composer Rick Robinson (Mr. CutTime) leads his string quartet CutTime Simfonica in St. Nicholas Catholic Church to accompany the celebrated collection of murals by the Croatian painter Maxo Vanka. As part of a complete afternoon (starting at noon) of free family activities, food and drink, and tours, CutTime creates a delightful background mix of classical dances, dramas and spirituals with elements of jazz, rock, gospel, folk, and profound epiphanies (OMG Classical). Parking is very limited, but shuttle buses are available. The event itself is free and family-friendly. Their performance is made possible by the support of generous patrons.

Please come back soon for the new concerts.
