Classical Revolution Detroit event playing Brahms Clarinet Quintet 2011

Robinson led the CRD series of intimate, middle-brow events to deliver evenly on both sides of the arts-entertainment coin. Wider communities join the music-making on toy percussion, and share them to spread the joy. We expected to grow this mission with national touring, recordings, royalties, partner organizations, and charitable donations through Fractured Atlas*. CutTime has touched nearly 10,000 lives over 28 years. Sharing classical music in bars may not have been very popular; but it was very necessary. That series, in Detroit, is now ended for lack of support.

However, CutTime has moved to Pittsburgh in 2022 to start its next chapter around a more traditional concert series with Robinson’s most powerful pandemic-era music program “For Interesting Times.” His compositions, mission, and character are not without great  controversy, perhaps to the point there seem to be contractors stalking him to kidnap and presumably hurt him since 2020. Nonetheless, join the two Detroit philanthropists who have generously supported his mission and composing, as he turns 60 soon, and recently announced the end of his playing career while premiering six of his latest compositions here.
