CutTime Players is a bold, versatile and world-class chamber music ensemble dedicated to making classical music more fresh, fun, accessible and relevant to its audiences.

SCOPE

Our main goal is to make classical music more fresh, fun, accessible, and relevant to a wide variety of family and student audiences. By bringing famous classical masterpieces together with stories, insights, and humor, we will expose the mechanics and meanings of classical music to help our audiences understand the seemingly mysterious traditions that surround our profession.  
CutTime Players is changing the way people discover and enjoy classical music!

CutTime Players will also entertain audiences occasionally with any broad slice of pop culture that lends itself to this instrumentation plus rhythm guitar or piano. Dixieland and jazz, blues and gospel, polkas and marches, folk music including klezmer, and Broadway are ALL possible.

CutTime Players continues to perform the Stravinsky work that inspired it, as well as the handful of other works composed for the Histoire ensemble. Furthermore we continue to develop this new genre by publishing our transcriptions where possible to benefit advanced music students, professional musicians and conductors who can use them for general music education, orchestral career preparation, conducting career preparation as well as orchestra community outreach.
